‘The city haunts me in many ways

It’s officially spring, which means either it’s only going to get warmer from here on out, or we’re due for one more snow storm. Also springing up soon is a new documentary about Albuquerque celebrity and mixed martial arts star Diego Sanchez. For this week’s featured story, I had a chat with Charlie Minn, the director of Nightmare: UFC Legend Diego Sanchez.

Readers may have also noticed a lot of national attention on the death of an adult film star who was living in Albuquerque. Lucky for us, our publishing siblings over at City Desk ABQ spoke with the Albuquerque Police Department and got some more details.

Some of our more devoted readers may have noticed our newest column Dark Corners, penned by long-time journalist Jeff Proctor. This week Proctor shares a bit about his interview with U.S. Attorney Alexander Uballez about what exactly is going on with that whole DWI scandal over at APD.

-Andy Lyman, editor

P.S. Don’t forget to take a moment and drop by the City Desk ABQ website. They’ve always got a bunch of impactful stories, including one on the conviction of Muhammad Syed, who was found guilty of killing a fellow Muslim man.
