Clyde’s

Clyde’s, written by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage, takes place in a Pennsylvania truck stop where the kitchen is staffed exclusively by formerly incarcerated individuals looking for their shot at redemption (and possibly the recipe for the perfect sandwich). Vortex Theatre (2900 Carlisle Blvd. NE) presents its own version of this pointed comedy, directed by local multi-arts maven Marya Erin Jones, on Friday, May 23 starting at 7:30 p.m. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays (7:30 p.m.) and Sundays (2 p.m.) through June 8. Tickets (vortexabq.com) are $24 general admission or $19 for students.
