Chicago: Teen Edition

The Public Academy for Performing Arts’ High School Theatre Department is proud to present Chicago: Teen Edition live at the South Broadway Cultural Center (1025 Broadway Blvd. SE). The popular 1975 musical, with music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebbs and a book co-written by famed choreographer Bob Fosse, centers on a collection of women in prison in 1920s Chicago. Over the course of the jazz-filled tale, the ladies fight for supremacy in the murder-mad tabloid press of the day. The student-led production runs Thursday and Friday, Feb. 27 and 28, stating at 7 p.m. Tickets (available at cabq.gov/artsculture/south-broadway-cultural-center/events) run from $5 to $25.
