22nd Annual Gothic Winter Ball
Gothic Winter Ball is the perfect excuse to dress in your movie villain finest and sway to the sounds of Bauhaus while cold winds scour the streets of Downtown Albuquerque. This year’s 22nd annual outing celebrates the longevity of the music, culture and fashion of ABQ’s dark alternative community. Get decked out, paint your face, hang out with friends and dance all night to classics of EBM, darkwave, industrial and more. Robert Burns Dinner & Dance 2025
January 25 has become known as Burns Night, an evening to eat, drink, contemplate the poetry of 18th century wordsmith Robert Burns and generally act as Scottish as our family trees allow. On Saturday, Jan. 25, from 5 to 10 p.m. the St. Andrew Scottish Society of New Mexico hosts the Robert Burns Dinner & Dance at Albuquerque Embassy Suites (1000 Woodward Pl. NE). This year’s theme is taken from Diana Gabaldon’s novel Outlander and is titled “A Journey Through Space and Time.” Guests will be transported to 1786 Scotland by way of the standing stones of Craigh Na Dun to explore Robert Burns’ life and time through poem, song and story. Tickets are $85 per guest and include a full dinner (filet mignon, honey glazed salmon or roast vegetable strudel). Get them in advance at sassnm.org/

New Mexico Card Show
Whether you like sports cards (baseball, basketball, hockey, etc.) or non-sports cards (Pokemon, Garbage Pail Kids, Star Wars and more), the New Mexico Card Show is where you wanna be this weekend. Autographs, sports memorabilia, plus tons of vintage and modern cards are on display Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25 and 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shop, trade, get your autographs authenticated by professionals or just mingle with fellow collectors.
