As a resident of County Commission District 3 and your current County Treasurer, I am endorsing Robert L. Padilla for District 3 Bernalillo County Commissioner.
Robert’s vision for District 3 is to have a safe, healthy and valued community for all residents. I can support Robert’s vision to work for less crime by supporting more affordable housing, to have the best behavioral and physical health programs and systems accessible, and lastly to have a proud community that values and respects all residents and businesses.
I’ve known Robert through my previous work at the State of New Mexico, when he was the executive officer for Bernalillo County’s Metropolitan Court, the busiest County court house in New Mexico.
Robert is a straight shooter with the public, staff and judges. He’s transparent, accountable and ethical. He ran budgets, operations, policy and practices — skills I value in a commissioner when making good policy decisions.
Robert grew up in the South Valley, one of 14 children, and is the first in his family to earn a college degree in criminal justice from UNM. He coached baseball and softball at Albuquerque High School. Having lived in District 3 for many years and his work in the courts, Robert is engaged and knows his community.
Come on County District 3, get out there and vote for Robert Padilla as our next Commissioner!
