Spring is in full swing, and it’s a fine time to be outdoors in Albuquerque. After the winter chill and before the summer heat is the perfect time to indulge in some sporting events.

Whether you like to watch or participate, Albuquerque and its surrounding areas offer plenty of sporting events to choose from. Here are some of the best adrenaline-pumping events going on this week — from baseball to roller derby to the start of cricket season in ABQ!

Also, happening this weekend is Festival Sefardí, celebrating the Sephardic culture of New Mexico. Whether these events interest you or if you want to create a weekend adventure of your own, The Paper.’s events calendar is the largest in ABQ with 1,101 arts, music, community and family things do to in May alone.
