It might take you a few extra minutes to get your pie if you don’t order ahead. That’s by design owner Adam Moffett would tell you.
Before opening his Nob Hill shop (which has since added a bigger location in the Heights), Adam visited New York to be sure he got it right. Back in ABQ, Slice Parlor’s New York-style pies start with fresh dough made from scratch and hand-tossed every day. And they don’t throw your pizza through a conveyor belt high-capacity oven. Each order gets backed on its own stone as you order.
It might take a few minutes longer, but its fresh and done right. No wonder its a staple stop for Nob Hill business types and late-night college kids alike. Besides, that extra time is just long enough to toss back one of the more than a dozen local brews on tap every day.
Thanks to a restaurant adaptation grant from the city, Slice Parlor in Nob Hill turned a few parking lot spaces into patio dining. Six months later, this full-sun patio is one of Nob Hill’s popular lunchtime destinations.
If you only have one thing…
For calzone fans, Slice Parlor is definitely an Albuquerque favorite.
