Rome comes to Albuquerque! Unlike the long lines and 60-foot ceilings, patrons can now see world-renowned work of Michelangelo “close enough to touch God’s finger” in Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition. This traveling collection of the artist’s renowned ceiling frescoes from the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel is reproduced in a format that allows viewers to get face-to-face with the masterpieces. Through 34 artfully displayed reproductions, this innovative presentation includes world-renowned pieces like The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement. Paired with an audio narrative, this experience is unlike the one in the Vatican City.

It opens at EXPO New Mexico (300 San Pedro Dr. NE) on Friday, July 10 from 10am to 6pm. Timed tickets are $20.20 for adults and $14.40 for children. The exhibit continues, Wednesdays though Sundays, until Aug. 7.
