Anti-vaxx leader of the “Vaccine Police” Christopher Paul Key is promoting a new “cure” for COVID for his followers online: drinking their own pee. “The antidote that we have seen now, and we have tons and tons of research, is urine therapy. God has given us everything that we need,” Key told followers in a video uploaded to Telegram.
It may sound ludicrous that anyone would follow the urine therapy advice, but in February of last year, a mother and child in the U.K. were reported for drinking their own urine. The mother reported she had been sent videos extolling the “traditional remedy” as an alternative to the vaccine.
“I’ve already been practicing this for 20 years,” Key said. “Everybody always says I’m cray-cray, and I am. Crazy like a fox.”
Last week, Key was arrested and booked into Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham, Alabama, stemming from criminal trespassing in the third-degree charge. Key said he was on a mission to conduct citizen arrests of Democratic governors across the country over their vaccine mandates. He has since been released.
Key, who initially gained national notoriety for threatening to “execute” pharmacists for giving the COVID vaccine, has been “serving” government officials with packets of documents that supposedly show that the COVID-19 vaccine is a “bioweapon,” although none of those claims have been backed by any leading health organization. “Every night in my dreams I have been trying to find an antidote to this vaccine,” Key told followers.
Key has a history of making discredited medical claims. A 2013 Sports Illustrated feature chronicled the story of his sports supplements business, which sold deer-antler spray to athletes as a remedy for injuries.
