Time to get the holiday groove on. There is one unique place to find gifts with that Burque flavor, style and beauty. This is the 7th Annual Holiday Market held at the historic Albuquerque Rail Yards. This year’s virtual event features puzzles, plants and flowers, jerky, fabric crafts, clothes and masks, jewelry, delectable mushrooms, tasty greens, beautiful ristras, local roasted coffees, aromatic teas and so much more. Online ordering is open now through 9pm on Dec. 11. EBT cards are accepted. Goodies can be picked up in a drive-through manner on Dec. 13. Native Nations Poetry Night

At long last textbook czar Norton Anthologies has released its When the Light of the World Was Subdued, Our Songs Came Through: A Norton Anthology of Native Nations Poetry. This hefty book was cited by Oprah Winfrey as a book “that helped me through” the pandemic. Santa Fe poet laureate Elizabeth Jacobsen hosts a virtual reading at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe, Thursday Dec. 3. Starting at 6pm Poets Layli Long Soldier, Cedar Sigo, dg nanouk okpik and more will read their work from the anthology. Plaza Don Luis in historic Old Town has hosted its popular tree-lighting ceremony for over 25 years. Mass gatherings are a no-no right now, so we’ll have to make due with a Virtual Tree Lighting. Sweater Required, Pants Optional

It’s time to party like it’s 2020—which means socially distancing from one another and staying safe at home. Since filling a theatre with rowdy performers and drunk audience members is out of the question, Duke City Rep is bringing all the joy of the 5th Annual Ugly Sweater Revue (Virtual Edition) directly into our homes this year. This floozy and boozy holiday special takes place Saturdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19 starting at 8pm. Ages 18+ are recommended due to content and language. Tickets are $15, and that includes a pre-show Zoom happy hour and a signature cocktail recipe (you gotta make it yourself, though).
