Governor Lujan Grisham came to Albuquerque Thursday night to greet supporters and officially kickoff her reelection campaign.
Our reporter Justin Schatz covered the event and you can read more here:

The governor’s announcement was the big news, but the sideshow of protestors whose abusive and harassing tactics made everyone take note. It was the first time in more than a year that protestors mad about COVID-19, mask mandates and public health orders had the chance to see the governor in person. But something was different his time than in years past.
Post-Jan. 6, anti-Democrat protestors have adopted many of the confrontational, bullying and downright scary tactics.
At one point, KOB-TV cut reporter Megan Abundis’s live shot to allow her and her photographer to deal with protestors shouting anti-media messages who tried to interrupt her shot.
She later shared this video of a protestors confronting her as she attempted to leave the event.
Daniel Chacon of the Santa Fe New Mexican captured photos of some of the anti-vax conspiracy theorists gathered outside.
And our own Justin Schatz captured images of the protest signs and protestors assembled there.
