Looking back, The White House sees President Barack Obama’s failure to sell the 2008 stimulus bill as one of that administration’s biggest mistakes. They aren’t looking to repeat history with this most recently passed $1.9 trillion American Rescue Package.
The White House is dispatching the president, vice-president and their spouses to states across the country to promote their first big piece of legislation. Though details have not yet been fully announced, Albuquerque is in the mix.
Vice President Harris and her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, will make a western state swing next week with Harris and Emhoff visiting Las Vegas and Denver early in the week before Emhoff splits off to visit Albuquerque on Wednesday, the White House confirmed to the Associated Press.
