“Cold Courage” (AMC+ streaming) AMC+ (right, right, that’s thing now, too) adds some Nordic noir to its streaming lineup. Based on author and journalist Pekka Hiltunen’s 2011 thriller, this crime drama centers on two Finnish women in London drawn together by The Studio—a clandestine group dedicated to bringing justice to those beyond the law.
“Genera+tion” (HBO Max streaming) Billed as a “dark yet playful” comedy-drama, HBO Max’s newest is set amid a group of high school students whose exploration of modern sexuality “tests deeply entrenched beliefs about life, love and the nature of family in their conservative community.” Perfect for those desperately awaiting the second season of HBO’s other teen sex show, “Euphoria.” Lena Dunham (“Girls”) is the executive producer of this show from 19-year-old creator Zelda Barnz.

“Making Their Mark” (Amazon Prime streaming) This sporting documentary follows six “iconic” athletes as they make their way in the Australian Football League toward the 2020 Grand Finale. Not really football, not quite soccer and not exactly rugby, Australian rules football is the third most popular summer sport in Australia behind cricket and swimming. So … yeah.
“Isabel” (HBO Max streaming) Noted Chilean author Isabel Allende is the subject of this three-part biopic covering the first 50 years of her life.
“The One” (Netflix streaming) Brit writer/producer Howard Overman (“Dirk Gently,” “Merlin,” “Misfits,” “Future Man,” “War of the Worlds”) helms this “soulmate science fiction” series based on the 2017 novel by John Marrs. It’s set in a very near future world in which a DNA test can find your perfect partner—the one person you’re genetically predisposed to fall passionately in love with.

“Super Soul” (Discovery+ streaming) Oprah Winfrey gets back in the sit-and-talk game with a revival of her old interview series. Among the famous folk lined up for this first go-around: Cicely Tyson, Sharon Stone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Julianna Margulies, Martha Beck, Jon Meacham and Chip and Joanna Gaines
“The 2021 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards” (Nickelodeon 5:30pm) Kenan Thompson (who started his TV career in 1996’s “Kenan & Kel” on Nickelodeon) returns to the network that launched his career to “virtual” host this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards. So what are the pandemic-bound kids of 2021 digging on? Eh, same as every year: Justin Bieber and a whole lot of Nickelodeon sitcoms.
“Golden Girls: Ageless” (Reelz 6pm) Reelz looks back at the seven seasons of ABC’s “Old ladies be randy!” sitcom from the late ’80s.

“The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards” (KRQE-13 6pm) “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah escapes his house to host the year’s top musical backslapping session. For the umpteenth time, Beyoncé leads the pack with nine nominations. She’s been nominated 79 times and has 24 of these golden boys at home already. If she sweeps this year, she’d have enough to play chess with.

“Abla Fahita” (Netflix streaming) Abla Fahita—the widowed, gossip-loving puppet character who appears in online ads for Egyptian telecom company Vodafone—gets her own show. Why not? The Geico cavemen did.
“Doctor Who: Fury From the Deep” (AMC+ streaming) The latest, long lost “Doctor Who” serial to get animated (based around sound recording from some 1968 Patrick Troughton episodes) premieres on AMC+. (Cable viewers will get their chance when it hits BBC America on March 21.)
“The Lost Pirate Kingdom” (Netflix streaming) If you miss the high seas adventure of Starz’ “Black Sails,” maybe Netflix’s new docudrama, featuring loads of cheesy ren faire-style re-enactments of real-life pirate action will scratch that itch.
“DuckTales: The Last Adventure!” (Disney XD 5pm) Disney’s wonderfully funny and savvy reboot of afternoon toon “DuckTales” wraps up after a way-too-short three seasons.
“Midnight Science Club Special” (Vice 10pm) Jake Wizard IV (Steve Jacobs, the fourth man to hold the “title” of Wizard and the official successor to 1950s TV show host “Mr. Wizard” Don Herbert) conducts DIY home experiments, exploring the science of wind, smoke, fire and gases.

“Pig Royalty” (Discovery+ streaming) Discovery+’s newest docureality show introduces viewers to the competitive world of pig-showing. Unsurprisingly, this is a thing that happens in Texas.
“Waffles + Mochi” (Netflix streaming) Former first lady Michelle Obama is joined by puppet pals to discover, cook and eat foods from around the world. … Wait. Is this real or just a weird dream I had?
“The Blended Bunch” (TLC 7pm) TLC continues its slack-jawed fascination with people who can breed. TLC’s latest reality show features a fertile Utah widow who marries a virile small-town widower. Between the two of them, they have 11 kids. And like all families with too many kids, they get a TV show!

The Quiet Man (TCM 6pm) It’s St. Patrick’s Day. No matter what your ethnic makeup, as an American, you are constitutionally required to watch John Wayne and Victor McLaglen punch the corned beef out of one another for, like, seven minutes straight.
