Native American Heritage Fest 2025 (Thu. 13, Festival)

The annual Native American Heritage Fest is coming back on Nov. 13 at Central New Mexico Community College’s Main Campus (900 University Blvd. SE). Head to the Quad from 1 to 6 p.m. for all-ages seasonal event. Come out to support local Indigenous musicians, artists and vendors — and take care of yourself and your community while you’re there. There are free vaccines for the whole family, free HIV testing, health resources and community care info. And don’t miss the live music from Levi Platero, Midnight Stew and The Tewa. Admission is free.

Risas y Raíces: Rooted in Laughter (Thu. 13, Comedy)

The special comedy event known as Risas y Raíces: Rooted in Laughter is being held as part of the annual La Cosecha Dual Language Conference and helps raise money for Dual Language Education of New Mexico’s teacher scholarship fund. Host Carlos Medina is a singer, songwriter, actor and comedian who hosts the All Fierce Comedy Show, which features monthly at the world famous “Juan” Cocteau Theater in Santa Fe. The night’s other comedians include José Maestas, Zach Abeyta, Rusty Rutherford, Isabel Madley and Korey Herrera. It all gets going Thursday, Nov. 13 starting at 7 p.m. at The Clyde Hotel (330 Tijeras Ave. NW. Stick around for an after party with music by Son Como Son. Tickets cost $25 (for non-conference attendees) and can be purchased at tickets.ampconcerts.org/tickets/452579.

Chicago (Thu. 13, Performance)

Broadway’s longest-running American musical brings the razzle-dazzle to Popejoy Hall (203 Cornell Dr.) starting Thursday, Nov. 13. Set in Jazz Age Chicago, this national tour of the famed musical follows murderesses Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart as they compete for the spotlight in a media-fueled, song-and-dance-filled frenzy. The show runs 7 p.m. on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 2 and 7:30 pm. on Saturday and 1 and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets (available through popejoypresents.com/events/detail/chicago) run $62 to $139.
