ENDORSEMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
I am honored to seek re-election to represent District 5 on the CNM Governing Board. For more than nine years, I’ve worked to strengthen CNM and our community through collaboration and a commitment to student success.

CNM has navigated leadership changes, a pandemic, and a rapidly shifting educational landscape. Through it all, I’ve seen the determination of every learner who walks through our doors or logs in online.

I want to continue safeguarding access to education, supporting innovation and business partnerships, and expanding workforce training. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished and I’m ready to continue this work.

BONUS QUESTIONS:
#1: Favorite place for enchiladas, and what’s your order?
Your mom’s kitchen doesn’t count. Where do you go when you go out for red or green?

ENDORSEMENTS:
Renee Grout, City Council District 9

QUALIFICATIONS:
Technological advances lead to both new ways of learning and new subjects to learn; CNM must address both.  As a Ph.D. engineer, I believe I am well positioned to effectively guide CNM in understanding new technologies and their impact on the college. My experience in organizing, planning, and executing large integrated programs, as well as setting policy for widespread organizations, are a perfect fit for the Governing Board. I have years of successful experience in education and leadership and I would bring valuable skills to the CNM Governing Board and to CNM as a whole.

BONUS QUESTIONS:
#1: Favorite place for enchiladas, and what’s your order?
Your mom’s kitchen doesn’t count. Where do you go when you go out for red or green?
Garcia’s.  Red chile beef enchiladas.

#2: Where’s the one place you’d take a visitor to get a true, non-touristy sense of what ABQ is all about? The plaza in the middle of Old Town.  From there you can see the history of Albuquerque in the buildings dating from the early 1700s and the beautiful San Felipe de Neri Church, and the square itself.  It’s a short walk from there to the Albuquerque Museum.
