Creators Fest

Vivid Canvas TV and Streetmeet NM have assembled our city’s very first Creators Fest. Photographers, videographers, models, actors, film makers, influencers, content creators, designers, dancers, vendors, promoters, businesses, podcasters, artists, cosplayers, music lovers and more are invited to Electric Playhouse (5201 Ouray Rd. NW) on June 26. Starting at 6 p.m. all these artistic types can take part in a night of fashion, music and creation. Bring your cameras and your friends and enjoy the interactive digital backdrop. Or just take the time to connect with some of New Mexico’s biggest influencers and artists. Let Me Speak: A Queerly Pride Variety Show

If you’re still looking for ways to fill out your Pride Month dance card, head over to Canteen Brewhouse (2381 Aztec Rd. NE) this Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m. for the debut of Let Me Speak Queerly: A Pride Variety Show. The evening features personal storytelling and performance art that “centers the resilience, creativity, and joy of queer and trans experience.” This event is free and open to all.
Hiland Theater 75th Birthday Party

Since 1950, The Hiland Theater has brought Burqueños together — from its days as Albuquerque’s first suburban movie theater to its vibrant life now as a hub for youth, creativity and the arts. Join National Dance Institute of New Mexico as they celebrate 75 incredible years of community, culture and connection! It all happens Saturday, June 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. at The Hiland Theater (480 Central Ave. SE). Enjoy and afternoon of live music and performances, delicious local food trucks and hands-on activities from Explora Science Museum. This all-ages event is free and open to the public.
