Killer Queen (Music)

Legendary rock band Queen is still plugging along occasionally, even without famed frontman Freddie Mercury. But if you want to experience classic Queen in all its stadium rock glory, then Killer Queen is the show to go to. Killer Queen is the longest-established worldwide Queen tribute band and was named “2019 Concert of the Year” by DigitalJournal.com. We have it on good authority that they will, they will rock you. The foot stomping and hand clapping begins Thursday, March 20 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Kiva Auditorium (401 Second St. NW). Tickets run $37 to $107 and are available now through Ticketmaster.com.
Hamlet/Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (Performance)

Vortex Theatre (2900 Carlisle Blvd. NE) is doing something interesting for Shakespeare lovers (and even those of you who are Shakespeare-curious). One of Willy the Shake’s most famous plays is his Danish tale of revenge gone wrong Hamlet, which Vortex will be staging starting Friday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. In 1966, though, Tom Stoppard wrote the absurdist tragicomedy Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by borrowing two minor characters from Hamlet. So Vortex is recycling much of its cast from Hamlet and staging R&G, as well, starting Friday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. The two plays alternate with one another until April 27, so you’ve to plenty of time to catch them both. Tickets are $19 to $24 at vortexabq.org/tickets.
The Addams Family Musical (Performance)

Charles Addams’ cult favorite cartoon comes to life in The Addams Family Musical, hitting UNM’s Rodey Theatre (203 Cornell Dr. SE) starting Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m. Albuquerque’s own Landmark Musicals is the talent behind this charming, live stage production in which a grown-up Wednesday Addams falls in love with a sweet (but entirely normal) young man and struggles with her decision to bring him home to meet her unusual parents. The production runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through April 6. Ticket run $14 to $26 at landmarkmusicals.org/the-addams-family-2025/.
