Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

Outdoor enthusiasts flock every year to the Banff Mountain Film Festival. It features the finest, most beautifully shot short documentaries about high mountain outdoor adventure sports. Luckily for those who can’t make the trek all the way to Canada, the winning films at the festival make a theatrical tour every year. This year’s selection of films includes topics like wingsuit flying, mountain climbing, ski expeditions, mountain rescue, snowboarding and more. Catch it at KiMo Theatre (423 Central Ave. NW) on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15. Each night has a different lineup of films. Single night tickets are $18. Two-night passes will run you $30. The 33rd Annual Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Spring Fest

Expect to find over 150 talented artists and makers, showcasing a curated selection of hand-crafted works, fine art, home décor, specialty food and more at this year’s Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Spring Fest. There’s a live music schedule throughout the weekend, as well, ensuring fun for the whole family. It all unfolds at EXPO New Mexico (300 San Pedro Dr. NE). Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 14, 15 and 16. Opening Reception for “Sage Mountainflower: House of Fashion”

Join the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (2401 12th St. NW) on Saturday, March 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for the opening of the Artists Circle Gallery’s newest exhibit, “Sage Mountainflower: House of Fashion.” This exhibit, on view from March 15 through July 13, showcases the artist’s contemporary clothing designs inspired by visual patterns and textures of her home and her experiences in the fashion world from the Pueblos to Paris. The opening reception includes an Artist Talk at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and refreshments will be served.
