The CloudTop Comedy Festival is returning to the City Different this May. Like last year, the festival will be held at different Santa Fe venues, all within walking distance of each other, throughout the city’s Railyard Arts District, with a few performances happening Downtown.

This year’s headliners include Chris Estrada, Liza Treyger, Nikki Bon and Calvin Evans.

This year’s showcases include BAD INDIAN at the railyards on Saturday, May 11, featuring comedians such as Joshua Emerson and Joshua Fournier.

There will also be a showcase of Hispanic and Latino comedians on Thursday and Friday night, hosted by local favorite Zach Abeyta.

For aspiring comedians looking to test their jokes in front of a live audience, there will be free open mics at the Social Kitchen + Bar, Thursday through Saturday. Free comedy workshops will also be held at Market Station on Friday and Saturday.

The final event, a Mother’s Day brunch featuring “mom comedy,” will take place on Sunday morning at 11am at Iconik Coffee’s RED location (1366 Cerrillos Rd. Santa Fe, NM). This event will celebrate “the hilarious comedians of the festival who are also moms,” according to a news release.

The founder and director of CloudTop, Jessica Baxter, has curated the lineup of this year’s event and aims to make comedy more accessible to everyone and to grow Santa Fe’s comedy scene.

Tickets are $15 or $35 for individual events, $50 for an evening wristband, and $150 for a weekend wristband.
