It’s not necessarily the attention residents want, but it’s what we got.
Thanks to the advent of smartphones in every pocket, a few passengers of an American Airlines flight leaving Albuquerque and headed to Chicago on Tuesday caught the melee that unfolded after a passenger reportedly tried to open an emergency exit.
The Associated Press reported that Flight 1219 quickly returned to the Sunport after a still unidentified man caused a disturbance. One passenger reportedly told KOAT-TV that the man, who was seated in an emergency exit row, pulled the door handle and at least partially opened the door. A correspondent with Barstool Sports posted a picture of the chaos on X and said he helped restrain the man with duct tape before the plane landed back in Albuquerque.
