On Sunday, October 31, the City of Albuquerque’s Parks and Recreation Department will host Trunk or Treat for the third time. The spooktacular celebration at Balloon Fiesta Park on Halloween night is from 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm This free family-friendly event is sure to thrill little goblins, ghosts and ghouls of all ages. Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico will co-host the event. A non-perishable food item is a suggested donation item.
“We’re excited to host another Trunk or Treat event at Balloon Fiesta Park to celebrate in a fun and safe way,” said Dave Simon, Director of Parks and Recreation. “Roadrunner Food Bank, local businesses, and community organizations across the city are helping to make this a spirited Halloween tradition for Albuquerque.”
Kids and families are encouraged to wear their most fabulous costumes. Trick or treaters can bring their bikes and helmets to ride, or they can walk from Trunk to Trunk. A shorter walking route will be available for little pirates, princesses and scallywags under age five.
Trunk or Treat is rain or shine. No pets or alcohol will be allowed at the free, monster-friendly, family-orientated event.
The department also seeks businesses, neighborhood associations, community groups, and individuals who want to host a trunk or booth.
