Hip Hop and Ya Don’t Stop
Safe Sounds presents the Indigo Hip Hop Showcase at Launchpad (618 Central SW). Things get jumping at 8pm on June 24. Zach Freeman, SHYWILL, Judah Merez, Killed By Nature, Motley Zealot and Stoned Age are among the lineup of performers. DJs LowKey and Codebreaker spin tunes between sets. High as a Kite By Then
The City Different continues to celebrate Pride Month with a free outdoor screening of the Elton John biopic Rocketman on June 25 at the Santa Fe Railyard (332 Read St.). Doors open at 6:30pm (there are no doors at the Railyards, but you know what we mean), and the movie begins at sunset (around 8:15pm). Rock On
Traveler in Pain returns to Skidmore’s Holiday Bowl (7515 Lomas Ave. NE) after 11 months to kick off the Rock Responsibly Summer Of Pain Tour (of the Northeast Heights). The band has been delivering quality heavy metal to New Mexico audiences for 22 years and is ready to start rocking post-pandemic crowds. Join Traveler in Pain with special guest Bardo Trujillo on lead guitar on Skidmore’s patio from 6 to 9:30pm on June 26. This is a free event. (Devin D. O’Leary)

Low and Slow
When it comes to cars, New Mexico likes ’em pumping out the bass and scraping the tarmac. This weekend is your last chance to see an exhibit dedicated to the art and culture lowriders. The New Mexico Lowrider Arte Culture Exhibit Closing Event at Santa Fe Place Mall (4250 Cerillos Rd.) takes place June 27 starting at noon. The free exhibit is set up inside the old Mervyn’s/Sport Authority store. It highlights customized cars, trucks, bikes, motorcycles, tattoos, paintings, drawings, photography, model cars and more. There’s a car show and hop from noon to 5:30pm. The closing ceremony takes place from 5:30 to 6pm. Guests are invited to take part in a cruise of downtown Santa Fe from 6 to 8pm. Farm Fresh
The Mile-Hi Farmers’ Market launches this Sunday at Alvarado Park (5600 Hannett Ave. NE). It runs every Sunday, June 27 through September 26 from 10am to 1pm. Drop by each week to get your hands on farm-fresh produce, local honey, artisanal goods, land-based crafts, plant starts, fresh coffee and baked goods.
