Your Experience
We’ll meet at 9 am on Saturday morning to beat the heat of the day. Our meeting point is the southeast corner of Robinson Park at 8th and Central which will be bustling with hundreds of people—and dogs, too!—enjoying the family-friendly atmosphere of the Downtown Growers’ Market.
Please arrive early to find nearby parking or please consider using the Market’s free bike valet.
You’ll have no trouble finding me among the crowd. I’ll be posted next to the bright yellow info booth near the restrooms.
From there, we’ll walk together east along Central Avenue, stopping outside of shops and restaurants so you can get an up close look at the architecture while learning the history of buildings from the first half of the 20th century and what you might find inside them today.
Our final stop will be at 1st and Central to learn about the single biggest accelerator of Albuquerque’s growth that arrived in 1880. After the tour concludes, you are encouraged to continue exploring downtown and visit the vendors at the Growers’ Market on your own.
Space is limited so please use this form to reserve your spot on an available date.
